Safripol staff, together with the Clean Blue Lagoon Group, Plastics South Africa and the Beachwood Mangroves Nature Reserve, recently completed a litter clean-up of the Umgeni River Mouth and Durban Blue Lagoon.

The sixty staff volunteers, together with the above organisations, collected over 134 bags of litter within two hours, making a significant difference to the beach area as the before and after photographs testify.

Gert Claasen, Safripol’s technology and innovation executive, says: “Safripol is committed to caring for the environment. Our staff are passionate about making a difference.” Gert indicated that Safripol will continue to participate in these sustainability initiatives.
